Healthcare professionals are needed to assist in meeting the medical needs of our campers. This program is designed to help prepare for future volunteer or staff roles at CAMP. A 5-hour program offered one Friday evening per month, September-May. A hour community based program offered one Saturday or Sunday per month, September-May. By providing year-round programming, Camp Good Days hopes to keep the bonds formed at Camp strong, while providing support for the entire family.
It takes hundreds of volunteers to keep these such programs going. Visit your Regional Office page for more information on how to get involved with year-round programs, or click the button below. Donate Today Become a Volunteer.
Year-Round Programs Every summer, the children that attend Camp are able to form new bonds and maintain old ones with others who can understand exactly what they are going through. Help campers thrive, play, laugh, and make a new friend. Attend a one-day orientation the day before camp begins. Interview and receive a background check before attending camp. Participate in on-line training before camp. In a clinical role, you will: Facilitate bereavement activities and sharing circles at camp.
Participate in virtual and on-line training before camp. As a camp nurse, your job is to support the whole program medically throughout the week of camp.
As a nurse, you will: Conduct health checks and administer medication. Care for ill or injured campers. Work alongside the full medical team. Photographers play an important role in capturing the magic of the bestweekever by taking pictures of our campers and volunteers.
These photos help share the story of camp with our families, and with our larger community year-round. As a photographer, you will: Live out-of-bunk in staff-only accommodations, but likely still in a twin bed. Take photos of every camper so caregivers can see the camp magic. Work closely with our program team to upload photos at the end of each day. We are currently looking for a remote Social Media Volunteer This volunteer will spend 5 to 7 hours a week helping to generate content and brainstorm ideas with our Senior Communications Manager.
Along with class work, you can enjoy the sights and sounds, as well as meeting fellow students from all over the world. Virtual programs based out of NYC are also unique! Many of these programs will offer virtual tours and special insight on NYC institutions.
