I've had my Forerunner for around a week now and it's worked perfectly every time I've taken it out for a run. Unlike the previous reviewer, I bothered to read the short and clear instructions on the initial setup and how to use it, before actually trying it out - and had no problems whatsoever. When outdoors, it takes maybe seconds to locate satellites - once it's done that, you just press Start and start running.
There's no software to install - just a download from Garmin, which is a similarly painless process. Data can be uploaded to the Garmin Connect website, which is a great service for checking tabs on your mileage and pace, and looking at graphs. Everyone likes graphs, don't they?
